Help Getting Out of a Bad Place
Once, I was in a bad place and a friend asked what he could do to help. I thought about it, and asked him to ask me four questions. It occurred to me (but naturally, I forget) that I can ask myself these same questions:
- What are you afraid of right now?
- What do you want to believe?
- Is there any part of you that can believe that right now?
- What can I say to you right now that would make you feel better?
